Our all-inclusive offer includes a generous breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet with sweet and hearty treats. It also includes the themed buffet with live cooking stations during dinner as well as all soft drinks from the drinking fountain.

Our all-inclusive offer applies to all family members. Please understand that we are neither able to verify services consumed nor deduct services that have not been consumed.

Persons suffering from allergies: We are gladly considerate of your allergies and can prepare meals suitable especially for you.

Baby food: HIPP baby-food menu includes various flavours of milk, muesli, tea, milk pudding and pulps. We also prepare fresh pulps for your children upon request.

The Dachsteinkönig Familux Resort is located in Gosau / Upper Austria, at the foot of the Dachstein mountain, across from the ski lift station “Hornspitzbahn”. How to get there the quickest? By car, train, or plane.

Our services do not just apply beginning at check in, but rather before you have even arrived. Our reservation team endeavours to find the most suitable accomodation for your family’s needs, so as to leave nothing desired. But that isn’t all: we also gladly provide a hassle-free journey for you and your loved ones by arranging a transfer from and to the airport or train station (fee required).

Gosau is a fascinating region for mountain biking. The Dachstein massif, lush green fields, managed alps, mountain lakes, and routes in various levels of difficulty are sure to delight any biker.

The “Salzkammergut Mountain Biking Guide” by Schubert and Franzke describes 60 tours. Map 1 shows Gosau with the tours to Iglmoos hut, Hornspitz, Seekar, and Plassen.

Bike rental:
You can rent a fitting mountain bike at local rental shops (fee required).

How many Alpenroses (loyalty points) will each family receive for their holiday? The number of Alpenroses is calculated based on the total value of the hotel bill (room and hotel extras, but without the services of external partners and tips). We’ll be happy to credit each family with 3% of their total spend in the form of Alpenrose points on their loyalty account after departure. The Alpenroses to euro conversion rate: 1:13.333.

What can the Alpenroses be used for? In the regular guest area there are various package deals which you can book online, thus redeeming your Alpine roses. In the event that you can’t find a suitable package, you can convert your Alpine roses into a gift certificate for use in our wellness area, using the “Coupon” button (conversion rate 1: 13.3333). The Alpenroses can also be converted into a cash discount by Reception and deducted from your final bill (1: 20 conversion rate).

How are the Alpenroses converted into euros? Conversion of Alpenroses into euros is based on ratios of 1:13.333 and 1:20, i.e. 1000 Alpenroses would amount to a € 50 cash discount (1:20 ratio). However, if you opt for one of our special offers within the regular guest area or a voucher for the wellness area, then 1000 Alpenroses amount to € 75 (ratio 1:13.333).

Did you enjoy your holiday with us? Then recommend us and receive valuable Alpenrose loyality points! How does it work? Enter the regular guest portal with your access data and as recommendation enter the data of your friends and acquaintances. Then submit your personal holiday recommendation. If your friends and acquaintances book with us, you will receive 200 Alpenroses for each night (worth € 15) credited to your regular account and the recommended family will benefit from 400 Alpenroses (worth € 30) as a welcome bonus.

How long are the Alpenroses valid for? The Alpenroses do not expire. Just the birthday bonus is available two years for redemption. If a vacation during this time in our two hotels is not possible, the Alpenroses can be printed out as a coupon to be redeemed later.

You can procure cancellation insurance in order to avoid a rude awakening in the case of unforeseeable events. Conditions are as follows:

Events covered by insurance are such in which the insured is unable to travel, for instance if the arrival or continuation of travels is made impossible. Such events include a serious accident or illness of the insured, the insured’s spouse, children, parents, or parents-inlaw. Death of any of the aforementioned persons, as well as siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, and sons-in-law or daughters-in-law also applies. Further, sudden unexpected problems during pregnancy, intolerances to vaccinations, an unexpected reoccurrence or aggravation of a chronic illness also apply, as well as substantial damage to the insured’s personal property due to fire, elementary events, or criminal offences by a third party resulting in the insured’s required presence at their place of residence.

How much is retention?

What to do in the event of damage?
No-show: Please inform the Dachsteinkönig Familux Resort ASAP concerning your inability to come, along with an endorsement either from a doctor or the police.

How much does cancellation insurance cost?
Suites: 1-3 days = 30,-€ / 4-7 days = 60,-€ / 8-10 days = 90,-€ / 11-15 days = 120,-€ / 16-21 days = 180,-€; Chalets: 1-3 days = 40,-€ / 4-7 days = 80,-€ / 8-10 days = 120,-€ / 11-15 days = 160,-€ / 16-21 days = 195,-€ per stay, room, and family. (There are no refunds for booked cancellation insurance.)

In accordance with hotel terms and conditions, the following costs apply in case of cancellation of a booking before arrival or during a stay without cancellation insurance, or if the reason for the cancellation is invalid as an event covered by insurance (see introductory paragraph):

• 1 month before arrival – 40 % of the full booking price
• up to 1 week before arrival – 70 % of the full booking price
• in the last week before arrival – 90 % of the full booking price

Free cancellation:
Free cancellations can be made up to 3 months before arrival. The only cost that applies in this case is the cancellation insurance fee (should cancellation insurance have been procured beforehand).

We offer child care for children from age week one and up. Children are taken care of according to their age, either in the Baby Club, Crawl Club, Mini Club, Maxi Club, or Teenybop Club. Our field trips, arts and crafts activities, and games take your child’s age – and, if possible, their wishes – into consideration. Children under the age of three can take part in field trips with a parent to chaperone them.

Over 20 caretakers are on duty seven days / 90 hours a week, i.e. from Sunday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9.30 a.m. to 9 p.m. This includes chaperoned lunches and dinners.

Our baby area with a toddler’s group, baby changing room, and recreation room offers even our littlest guests the greatest comfort. Of course we also have activities for teens, including animation. For more information on our play areas, please take a look at our hotel brochures or our homepage.

You are welcome to reserve a private caring for your children prior to arrival in consultation with the Manager of the Kidsclub. Cost: € 35.00 per hour.

We welcome dogs of all sizes in our hotel in the bar area and the rooms. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, the garden, the pool area, or the children’s area. We charge 32 euros per day excluding food for each dog, regardless of its size.

At our Kostbar, you can enjoy 16 different wines 24 hours a day from Austria, Italy, France, and Germany as well as exotic wines – for example from Lebanon. How it works: insert your room card, select the wine and quantity (a sample, a sixteenth, or an eighth depending on your taste) hold the glass under it, and press the button. Of course, this does not replace the classic service and advice that we offer our guests with great pleasure.

Gosau is situated 700 m above sea level and features an impressive view of the Gosaukamm and the famous Dachstein glacier. The largest skiing region in Austria, with a total of 142 km of slopes and 66 ski lifts, offers diverse and family-friendly winter sports activities. The part of the skiing region Dachstein West situated near Gosau includes Hornspitz (with a chair lift), “Brumsiland” (directly adjacent to the hotel), and the more demanding Zwieselalm (with a gondola lift).

Brumsiland
Brumsiland is especially popular with our smaller guests. The fun skiing bumblebee Brumsi assists children in their first skiing efforts. And since staring out is easier if there is more fun, Brumsiland also offers fairy tale creatures and boarder cross, rather than boring gates and beginner’s slopes. Up-and-coming skiing stars can practice their talents on the magic carpet, in the fun park, and even on the bobsleigh run.

“Munchkin” skiing course (“Zwergerlskikurs”)
Two-and-a-half to three-year-olds can practice on our beginner’s ski slope on hotel grounds. Book the “munchkin” skiing course from Sundays to Fridays (10 a.m. to 12 noon) on a daily basis or for a full week.

Our spa is open seven days a week. Receive consultation by our experienced masseuses and cosmeticians, and get an individual wellness package tailored to your personal needs. You can make an appointment either up to two weeks prior to your arrival, on the day you arrive, or during your stay in our spa area.

Choose from classic treatments like partial or full-body massages, facials, manicures, or pedicures. Or treat yourself to some exotic wellness, like hot stone massages, alpine hammam treatments or exclusive Dachsteinkönig spa rituals providing a relaxing timeout for two.

1,000 sq m wellness area: spa with 11 treatment rooms for massages, balneotherapy, cosmetics, ayurveda and treatments with Pharmos Natur or Thalgo products; sauna area with six different saunas, outdoor panorama sauna, a relaxation room, and a communication or relax zone including a juice bar.
